In the book Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech there is a outgoing character named
Salamanca. Salamanca is determined to get her Mother and Bring her home. But
there is one thing that stands in her way, her mother is in Lewiston, Idaho. She goes
with her grandparents on a road trip and feels what her mother feels and sees. After
her adventure she learns that everything happens for a reason.
